Terrance Tassell

Van Tassell, Terrance Gene of Beacon, entered into rest January 11, 2016, at Castle Point VA Medical Center. He was 55. Born in Beacon March 21, 1960 he was the son of the late Eugene and Mildred (Betty) Parker Van Tassell. Terrance was a retired Correctional Officer for Downstate Correctional Facility, Fishkill. He was a member of The Emerald Society, Downstate, and a former Volunteer for Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps. , as well as a member of St. John the Evangelist’s Church, Beacon. Terrance served in the U.S. Navy from 1978-1982. On September 7, 1985 at St. Mary’s Church, Fishkill he married Lorraine T. Antonecchia, she survives him at home. Along with his wife Lorraine, Survivors include: two sons, Patrick Van Tassell of Yonkers, and Gregory Van Tassell of Fishkill, his daughter, Melissa (Todd) Post of Plattekill, three grandchildren, Ares, Venus and Savannah Post, three brothers, Roger, Thomas and Peter Van Tassell, one sister, Jeanne Wiley, Mother & Father In Law, Lilly and Danny Antonecchia, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and John Van Tassell. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY. A Christian Mass will be Celebrated Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow St. Beacon, NY.
