Theresa Ann Murphy-Maksim

Theresa Ann Murphy-Maksim, a resident of Beacon for 17-years and formerly of Woodside, NY passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on April 19, 2023.  Ann, as she was known to family and friends was born in Queens, NY on June 7, 1965 and is the daughter of the late Hugh & Bridget (Canning) Murphy.

On October 5, 2002 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Woodside, NY, Ann married Robert C. Maksim, who survives at home.

Ann was the facilities manager for Accenture, a business consulting company in New York, NY; until she retired. When she moved to Beacon, she was involved with volunteering with ARF, the Animal Rescue Foundation in Beacon which was a perfect fit for her as she loved all animals, especially cats & dogs.

Along with her devoted and loving husband of over 20 years, Ann is survived by her brother Jerry Murphy and his wife Eileen, along with nieces & nephew, MaryKate, Reagan and Owen, all whom she adored as her own.

Her Family will receive Friends on Sunday, April 23rd from 3-7PM at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, Monday, April 24th at the St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon, followed by a private cremation. Interment will be private at the convenience of her family.
