Thomas W. Reynolds

Thomas W. Reynolds, a lifelong Beacon resident, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 7, 2022 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon; he was 75 years old. He was born on February 16, 1947 in Beacon, NY, son of the late Oscar ‘Tom’ Reynolds and Hilda (Sirrine) Reynolds. Tom attended Beacon City Schools, and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era from 1966-1968 which he received an honorable discharge for service.

On June 6, 1967 at the First Baptist Church of Beacon, he married Helen A. Wilson, who survives him at home.

Tommy worked his whole life as a plumber, working for various builders over the years, mostly self-employed. He enjoyed hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and visiting motorcycle rallies; he loved motorcycles. Tommy was a member of the Beacon Elks Lodge 1493 for several years; he was a charter member of the Beacon Community Lions Club when it was resurrected; and he was a member of the American Legion Post 203 of Beacon.

Along with his devoted wife of 55-years Helen Reynolds, Tommy is survived by his daughter Sandra Oakley; his son Thomas W. Reynolds and daughter-in-law Kathy Reynolds. His five grandchildren: Dalton (Kady) Oakley, Colton & Nicholas Oakley, and Natalee & Olivia Reynolds; and 1 great-grandson Grayson Oakley survive him. He is also survived by his brother Ronald Reynolds, his former son-in-law Matt Oakley, and his 4 feline kids.
Along with his parents, Tommy was predeceased by his brother Gary Reynolds.

His Family will receive Friends on Saturday, December 17 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, where military honors will be rendered by the U.S Army Honor Guard at 12 Noon, followed by A Celebration of Life Reception at the Beacon Elks Lodge, 900 Wolcott Avenue, Beacon.
