William Quirk

Wappingers Falls, NY Quirk, William E. Sr., of Wappingers Falls, NY entered into rest, Friday, August 26, 2011 in Highland, NY, he was 83 years old. Born March 4, 1928 in Beacon, NY, he was the son of the late Aloysius F. and Pearl Oakley Quirk. On August 26, 1949, in St. Joachim's Church, Beacon he married Ann Patricia Conley, Mrs. Quirk preceeded him in death on March 3, 2007. Mr. Quirk was a Retired Teamster, a WWII U.S.Navy veteran and a member of St. Joachim's Church, Beacon. Survivors include his three children; Gloria and her husband George Glover of Wappingers Falls, William E. Quirk, Jr. Of Wassaic, NY and Patricia and her husband Alex Palo of Goshen, NY. A sister; Violet Jackson of Beacon, his two brothers Robert Quirk of Saugerties, NY and Aloysius Quirk, Jr. Of Beacon, four grandchildren; Vanessa Cable, Judson Glover, Christopher Palo & Matthew Palo. 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 30, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, Leonard St. Beacon. Interment will follow in St. Joachim's Cemetery, Beacon.
