Kay M. Boyle 91, of Beacon NY passed away August 9, 2016 Born August 4, 1925 in Brooklyn NY to Thomas & Catherine Purcell. Kay grew up in Staten Island NY attended St Margaret Mary as well as Vocational School to become a Seamstress, Kay could make anything from dresses to Halloween Costumes and made them for many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was truly a generous and selfless person. Married in Long Island 1949 to Thomas F. Boyle widowed 1969. She raised 5 children and worked selflessly putting them before herself throughout her life. She experienced the great loss of her daughter Loretta Basto in 1988. She was also predeceased by her sister Helen and brother Timothy. She is survived by her daughter Susan Pignatello and her son in law Russell who worked to the end to advocate and care for her in every way possible. She is also survived by her sons Kevin, Denis and Jeffrey(Kelly). She was very grateful for her loving granddaughter Michelle Coughlin and her husband George for their sacrifice in helping to keep her at home. And her cherished granddaughter Cayla who had a very special relationship with her Grandma Kay and helped to care for her. She is also survived by her cat Salem. She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren and her 33 great grandchildren. And her Grandchildren's mothers Joann Boyle and Maryann Townsend. Her good friends Charlotte, Nancy and Donna and many others. Kay volunteered at The Friendship Center for 15 years. She was a communicate of St. Joachim’s Church Beacon. Some of Kay's final words in the days before her passing were: That she loved everyone and tried to be good to everyone. No truer words were spoken! Visitation will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM at St. Joachim’s Church 51 Leonard St. Beacon. Interment will follow at St. Joachim’s Cemetery 325 Washington Ave. Beacon, NY In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
