Pedro De León, Jr.

March 8, 1984 — June 19, 2020

Pedro De Leon Sr married Aleja Melendez in Bronx, NY on November 6, 1976. They had 4 children Lydia, Jessica, Pedrito and Juan Ramon. Growing up, Peter lived on Prospect Avenue and went to school at P.S. 25 on 149th St. and I.S. 184 on Westchester Avenue. He attended All Souls Church on Vyse Avenue and was proud of being part of the Royal Rangers. Peter and his fiancée Nereida grew up in the same neighborhood, they fell in love, were engaged and then moved in together in 2003. He was survived by 3 children, Charlize who is 16 years old, Grace who is 14 and Pedro De Leon III, age 6. There are no words that can describe the person that he was, not only did he help and love his family, his love was unconditional for all. He always said, "Family First" and he meant it with all his heart. He was known for always taking care of people, and his friends always said, that no one would die of hunger, when Peter was around. Not only did Peter feed their bodies; he also fed their soul. Many friends have stated, that for the past 3 months, he preached the word of God, to everyone that he spent time with. Peter, who people called "P Loco" was very adventurous, ambitious and didn't fear anything. He took everything that came at him, at face value and always fought for what was right. He was a businessman and made money, any which way that he could. He loved road trips and enjoyed traveling. He took his fiancée and kids to Walt Disney, Canada and Jamaica. He always loved to see the family together and liked to see his loved ones happy. While on a road trip with his daughter Grace, he expressed, that he always thought, that he would live in the Bronx surrounded by buildings, but looked up at the trees and said, that he never thought that he would be here, upstate New York, and that he was surprised that he made it this far. He struggled and fought to set up his own business, known as C.G.P. which were the initials of his 3 children. He set up this business, because he had a dream to buy his family a house. However, it was God's will to claim Peter's soul on Friday, June 19, in a motorcycle accident, and he didn't have the opportunity to fulfill the rest of his dreams. In the end, Peter died, doing what he loved to do. This is not a good-bye Peter; this is only a farewell. We will always love you and miss you. May your soul rest in peace.
