Robert West

West, Robert Monroe (Honky Tonk), of Beacon, entered into rest Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his residence. He was 82. Born May 25, 1934 in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of the late Percy and Harriet Smith West. Robert was a retired Letter Carrier, for Metro North R.R. Croton Harmon for 36 years. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Survivors include: nieces and nephews, Larraine McNair Williams, Paula McNair, Barbara McNair, John McNair, Arlene McNair Russell, Donna West Finger and Elizabeth West Freeman, as well as Grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by, his brothers, Howard West and Marshall West, his sister, Frances West McNair and his niece, Sharon McNair. Visitation will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY. Where at 11:00 AM services will be held. Interment to follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made a Veterans Organization of your choice.
